The Under 18's had a solid win against Campbelltown, which mathematically at least, keeps the young Lions double chance hopes alive. The boys weren't in peak form, and were frustrated by a game Blues side who played a spare man in defence. The boys will learn to exploit their numerical advantage next tame, using a spare team mate, rather than blazing to a loose opponent patrolling the goal square. The finals beckon, and we have 2 more games to hit top form. We welcome Riverview this weekend, and will need to be on our game as it was a tough battle when we last met the students.

The Reserves travelled to Manly for the first time in 5 years in a buoyant mood after a great win last round against Penno. However, it will not be a trip we remember fondly as the boys ran into a red hot Manly side keen to avenge a defeat in the previous round. Right from the outset the Wolves were a class above our boys, and will play a big part in September. The boys kept on trying, but were powerless to contain their ooponents. We'll need a big lift to tackle the Students today.

The Seniors performance against Campbelltown was an improvement on recent outings, but was not enough to secure the points against the finals bound Blues. We had plenty of the footy in the opening minutes, but couldn't convert opportunity into goals. Campbelltown took there chances and lead by nearly 5 goals prior to half time. A great rally saw the Lions kick 4 goals in a row to get within striking distance. Missed chances in front of goal in the 3rd quarter proved costly as Campbelltown continued to kick goals at key moments to secure themselves an important win. The Lions aren't far off and are still looking to claim a scalp or two this season.
